Terms of service

TERMS OF SERVICE

These terms apply to accepted orders from Hip-Po Wallets. Submitting a wallet request does not create an order or require payment.

1. REQUEST, ACCEPTANCE, AND CONTRACT

Hip-Po may accept or decline a request. If accepted, Hip-Po sends a Shopify invoice identifying the model, agreed materials and specifications, price, taxes, shipping cost, production estimate, and supply or ship-by date. The order and distance sales contract are formed only when the customer pays that invoice.

2. MADE-TO-ORDER PRODUCTION

Every item is handmade to order in Vancouver, British Columbia. The standard production target is approximately 10–14 business days after confirmed payment (about two to three calendar weeks). This is an estimate. The supply or ship-by date stated on the invoice or order confirmation applies to the particular order. Any known longer estimate for complex customization, material availability, holidays, or workload will be disclosed before payment.

3. PRICING AND PAYMENT

Prices are in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise. Full payment through Shopify is required before production begins. The paid invoice records the specifications and charges agreed to by the customer.

4. NATURAL MATERIALS AND HANDMADE VARIATION

Full-grain leather naturally varies in grain, colour, pull-up, scars, markings, and texture. Small handmade variations are expected. These variations are not defects unless the item materially fails to match the agreed description or specifications.

5. CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS

Before payment, there is no accepted order to cancel. After payment, changes or voluntary cancellation may be accepted only if production has not started and Hip-Po agrees in writing. Nothing in these terms excludes cancellation, refund, delivery, quality, or other rights that cannot lawfully be waived, including applicable rights under British Columbia’s Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act.

6. DELIVERY TIMING

Production time and carrier transit time are separate. The Shipping Policy forms part of these terms. If Hip-Po expects to miss the stated supply date, Hip-Po will contact the customer.

7. DAMAGE, ERROR, OR NON-CONFORMITY

Contact Hip-Po promptly, preferably within 7 days after delivery, if an item arrives damaged, was made incorrectly, or materially differs from the agreed specifications. Include photographs where reasonably possible. Hip-Po will assess the issue and provide the repair, replacement, refund, or other remedy required by the agreement and applicable law. The requested 7-day notice does not shorten a mandatory legal right.

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless otherwise stated, Hip-Po owns the store’s original photographs, designs, and written content. They may not be reproduced commercially without written permission.

9. LIABILITY

To the extent permitted by law, Hip-Po is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

10. GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada, without limiting any mandatory rights available to a consumer in another jurisdiction.

11. POLICY VERSION

The terms and policies presented with the Shopify invoice and in effect when the invoice is paid apply to that order.
